Flexibiliity

Working in a PLASP Before and After School Program gives you flexible, part-time work. Programs start at 7:30 am and run until school starts. Then, after school, children stay until 6 pm.

Focus On Wellness

You can choose to take summer and March break off.  You are also given two weeks off in December. Of course, all staff receive sick days. And we encourage staff to take care of themselves, which includes an EAP program and a supportive supervisory team.

Personalized Attention

Our child-to-staff ratios are 1:15 or less. Plus, because you’re working with school-age children (JK-GD5) there’s no diapers, potty training, or runny noses. The work is creative, engaging, indoor and outdoor, activity-driven, and flexible.

Program
Director

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing a program that provides supervision and activities for children. They plan and develop the program curriculum, lead and train staff members, evaluate staff performance, and ensure that all program tasks and activities are implemented smoothly and safely. Administrative tasks such as record keeping, budget management, and communication with parents, are also part of their role. Additionally, the Director focuses on maintaining a secure environment, complying with regulations, and collaborating with school staff and stakeholders. Overall, their primary goal is to create a positive and enriching experience for the children in the program well ensuring their well-being.

Assistant
Director

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the program. They collaborate with the Director to develop and implement program policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for participating children. The Assistant Director helps support, train, and supervise program staff while also providing support and guidance to ensure effective program delivery. They may assist in developing and implementing curriculum plans, organizing and overseeing activities, and maintaining program schedules. The Assistant Director also plays a vital role in communicating with parents, addressing their concerns, and providing updates on program activities. Overall, they assist in managing all aspects of the program, fostering a positive and engaging experience for children, and promoting their education and social development.

Program
Supervisor

The Program Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and implementing the activities and operations of the program designed to provide structural care and enrichment for children. Their role involves ensuring the safety and well being of the participating children, staff, and resources, implementing educational and recreational programs, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Under the direction of the Program Director and Assistant Director, they collaborate with school administration, parents, and teachers to develop and enforce program policies, maintain effective communication, and address any concerns or issues that may arise. The Supervisor also plays a crucial role in assessing program effectiveness and making necessary improvements to enhance the overall experience for the children and their families.
